Jin Hou

I was born in Beijing, China and came to New Zealand in 2002. I am a watercolour painter currently living with my husband and kids in Palmerston North, New Zealand. I have a bachelor degree in Mass Media from the University of Canterbury. Throughout my life, I was interested in many creative fields and painting is my favorite.

I started to paint in 2019, while looking after my baby. I take inspiration from nature and meditation. When I am painting, I put my thoughts, energy, emotions, and feelings into it.  People find my paintings therapeutic.

As an awakened soul, I am committed to fulfilling the purpose of this life, by healing, enlightenment people, etc, therefore to live the life you want to be and meant to be. I hope my paintings can bring you inner peace.
